Frequently asked questions

Can I use my logo as a watermark?
Yes. Choose a PNG or JPG. A transparent PNG keeps its transparency, and the opacity slider makes it fainter.
Does it work with Chinese, Japanese, Arabic or other alphabets?
The built-in fonts cover Latin, Vietnamese, Cyrillic and Greek. For other scripts choose a .ttf or .otf font file from your computer that has those characters; it is used only in your browser.
Can I remove the watermark afterwards?
This tool only adds watermarks. The stamp is drawn on top of the page as normal PDF content, so a determined person with a PDF editor can remove it. It is a visible label, not security.
Can the watermark sit behind the page text?
No. It is always placed over the page content. Use a lower opacity so the text underneath stays readable.
Can I watermark a password-protected PDF?
Not while it needs a password to open. Save an unprotected copy first.
Is my PDF uploaded?
No. Everything happens in your browser and the files never leave your device.
