How to use Crop PDF

  1. Add your PDF

Drop the file or choose it. The first page opens as a large preview.

  2. Set the crop

Drag on the page to draw the area to keep, then move or resize it. Or press Trim margins to cut the white border automatically, pick A4 or Letter shape, or type the margins in millimetres.

  3. Choose the pages

Apply the crop to all pages, only this page, or every odd or even page (handy for scanned books).

  4. Save

Press Crop. The cropped PDF downloads straight away, keeping the text and quality.

Frequently asked questions

Does cropping remove what is outside the box?
No. Like Acrobat and other viewers, it hides that part: the page shows only the cropped area, but the original content is still inside the file. Do not rely on a crop to hide private information. Print the result to a new PDF if you need it gone.
What does "Really cut the page" do?
It also changes the page size itself, not only the visible area. Use it when a viewer or printer ignores the crop box. Without it the original page size stays in the file and can be restored by tools that read it.
Can I crop every page differently?
Yes. Choose "This page", move to another page with the arrows and draw its own box. Pages you leave alone stay as they are.
How does Trim margins work?
It looks at how the page really appears and cuts the empty white border. With many pages it uses the tightest margin that keeps all the content. Pages with a grey or coloured background have no white border to find, so draw the box by hand.
Does it work on scanned PDFs and encrypted PDFs?
Scans work, they are just images on the page. A PDF that needs a password to open cannot be cropped here; save an unprotected copy first.
Is my PDF uploaded?
No. It is processed in your browser and never leaves your device.
