Frequently asked questions

Is the HTML uploaded or run?
No. It is cleaned in your browser (scripts, styles, frames and forms are removed) and converted on your device. Nothing is sent anywhere.
What is kept from my HTML?
The structure and basic formatting: headings, paragraphs, bold, italic, underline, strike-through, colours, alignment, lists, tables, links, pictures, code blocks. Page CSS, classes and complex layouts are not reproduced.
Can I paste copied text from a web page?
Yes. Paste HTML source, or drop a saved .html file. For rich text copied from a page, the document editor keeps the formatting as you paste.
Why does Word ask to update fields?
Only when you add a table of contents; click Yes and Word fills in the page numbers.
Can I convert several files?
Yes. Drop several .html files to get a ZIP with one .docx each.
Is there a watermark or limit?
No watermark, no signup, no page limit.
