How to use SVG Optimizer

  1. Add your SVG

Drop one or many SVG files, paste SVG code, or try the sample.

  2. Compare

The original and the optimized SVG are shown side by side, with the size saved.

  3. Tune if needed

Lower Precision for smaller paths. Keep viewBox on so the SVG still scales.

  4. Download

Download the .min.svg, copy the code, or download several files as a ZIP.

Frequently asked questions

How much smaller will my SVG get?
SVGs exported from Illustrator, Inkscape or Figma often shrink 30% to 70%, because editor metadata, comments and over-precise numbers are removed. Hand-written SVGs shrink less.
Will it change how my SVG looks?
At the default precision the difference is not visible. Check the side-by-side preview, and raise Precision if a detail moves.
Why keep the viewBox?
Without a viewBox an SVG cannot scale to the size of its container. It is kept by default.
Is there a file limit?
No fixed limit. Very large SVGs (several MB) can take a few seconds because the work happens on your device.
Is my SVG uploaded?
No. SVGO runs in your browser and your files never leave your device.
